Hi

I just wander why the EL implicit objects description are not in the EL Specification, they are in the JavaServletPages Specifications (pg 108).

I must admit that you'll use the EL implicit objects inside of a JSP, but if the EL has now a separate specification why this EL related information is not in the EL specification ?

Is a mistake ? I miss something ?

Regards,
M

EL was taken out of the JSP specification, to make it meet requirements of different technologies, and not only of JSP. If you look at the implicitly objects closely, you'll see that they are all JSP oriented. Scope variables, headers, cookies, etc... So they thought that it would be better to keep JSP related stuff inside the JSP spec, and leave the EL spec as much abstract as possible.
