i took the SCWCD 5 certification last Feb 8 and cleared it by 76%

i didn't encountered the problems mention by other jaca ranchers.

i have 69 questions...

i took me less than a month to scan the HF SCWCD 1.4... thanks to the authors

Note to pounder:
1. Focus more on XML (web.xml and tag files)
2. aside from the increased passing percentage, the questions are trickier than whats on the mock exams... SO READ BETWEEN THE LINES... i thought i got most of the questions but i was TRICKED...

so good luck guys...

Neri

Congratulations.

Did you find any question(s) that the Head First book did not cover.
I'm asking since the book was not written with SCWCD 5 in mind.
But as they say not much has changed between the two.

congrats

HI

Congrats on passing your certification. I'm currently preparing for SCWCD 5 . Actually I have studied HEad First Servlets and JSP book and I'm doing some Mock exams too. I have bought whizlab SWCD1.4 kit . Do you think since these all cater to SCWCD 1.4 ,I should be still ok to take the SCWCD 5 certification? Are there any additional materials that I need to read?

I know these questions have been asked before. I would really appreciate it if somebody can give me some insight and their experience after passing their SCWCD 5 certification.

Thanks for your time.

For me the HF SCWCD 1.4 book is enough. Though all of the mock exams are geared to 1.4 so the key here is for you to Understand servlets and JSPs, as the authors of HF reiterate which i also agree DO NOT memorize. Honestly I really hate memorization.

Hope it helps...
