Hello All

Im going through some of HFs mocks questions. One of them
states that the <%@ page isELIgnored="true" %> only works if the DD <el-ignored> is set true and a URL pattern that includes the JSP with the directive. Is that true?

I thought if i had put the directive in the JSP then it overriden the DD settings.

regards
Gunnar

Could you provide the page number for that?

Perhaps you have an original printing of the book. My copy doesn't say that.

In my copy of the book, only D is marked correct and it reads:
The JSP containing this directive should NOT have any Expression Language code evaluated by the JSP container.

Looking at the pdf file of the book (calm down i have the original book at home ) it has the letter E marked as the correct answer and it reads:

This page directive will only turn off EL evaluation if the DD declares a <el-ignored>true</el-ignored> element with a URL pattern that includes this JSP. (page 336)

Answering the exercise i marked letter D as you stated.
