Hi I know, this is nothing new, but I really don't what is wrong.
I have a jsp file like :

<jsp:useBean id ="bean" class="org.mihai.SimpleBean" scope="session"/>
${bean.message}

and a DD like :

<web-app version="2.5">

<servlet>
<servlet-name>testBean</servlet-name>
<jsp-file>/WEB-INF/jsp/showBean.jsp</jsp-file>
</servlet>

<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>testBean</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/showBean/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>

</web-app>

The result is the String : "${bean.message}".
Do I need to enable EL explicit ? (in DD or programatical) ?

P.S
I use the apache 6.0.14.

Regards,
M

No. You need to write your web-app tag properly. Please check this FAQ.
