Hi All,

My understanding on these two:

JSP : tag can accept every thing like EL, scriptlets, plain Text
tagdependent : only plain text, nothing else.

Please correct me if i am wrong

Regards,
Ravi

tagdependent tells the JSP translator that the body will be processed by the tag, so the JSP translator will ignore it. You could, for instance, put EL code in a tagdependent body, but it won't be evaluated; it will just be treated as plain text.

and tagdepedent is mainly used for sql queries:
for eg:
<mysql:query>
select * from javaranch
</mysql:query>
