confused totally where display-name and description comes in DD

Hi
I am confused totally about optonal display-name and description .Dont know where display-name and description comes in DD?Somewhere only display-name comes and somewhere only description comes and somewhere both comes.Could anybody let me know the trick/any method to remember when which comes?

I'm just a scwcd-preparee myself, but if I understand correctly: most DD elements have a description- and display-name subelement, which are always optional. IIRC, if either of them is allowed, the other is also - they always accompany each other.

E.g.: <filter>, <listener> and <servlet> DD elements all have an optional descr. and disp. subelement. So you can include neither of them, one of them, or both. See Servlet Specs 2.4 p.135 and further.

I'm not sure, but I don't think that you have to remember about display-name and description anyway.
