Hi,

Today I took SCWCD and failed miserably. I was short of 1 correct answer scored 68%. I am a silent member of javaranch . Samething happened for SCJP. But I have biggest satisfaction there since I used to discuss my Core java topics with my dad who was terminally ill at that time and in his last days it was our main conversation. He cried when I lost first time and advised me to write the test soon and go to India since he wanted to see me. Second time I passed; at that time he was in his life support and I flew to India. My preparation time for Core Java was 31/2 months. I was using Kathy Sierra& Bert Bates SCJP study guide. For the second attempt I got Enthuware. Also I used to come in Javaranch and /www.examulator.com site in silent mode.

For SCWCD same thing I followed HFSJ and Enthuware. I started preparing 3 months back. I lost 3 weeks in between since my 3year old daughter got pneumonia. Everything is a learning experience. I wanted to pass this before my dads first death anniversary but couldnt do it. Both HFSJ and Enthuware are very good learning material. I am planning to take this test again before the end of this month.

For todays test SCWCD:- jsp standard actions 4-5 questions
JSTL/ Custom tags lots of questions
J2EE Design pattern 4-5 questions
Security related and DD related questions were straight forward.

Thanks
Anitha

Dear Anitha,

I am very touched by your sharing. Your Dad is very proud of you and wants you to excel. love your spirit of not wanting to give up. do practice using a lot os mock tests an also time yourself as that too is a very critical aspect in the exam.

Wish you all the very best for your certification success.

Regards

It's very touchy, the experience that you had.

Anyways, the saying is 'Never give up'. Try again and you will do it.

All the very best.

Great Inspiration!

I salute your courage and our life bundles with events, which may go either way, so success and failure are set based on under what circumstances we go through

What is more important is, how much we learn rather than a piece of paper

I am sure you'll get through soon and ALL THE VERY BEST!

"Scdjws FromTexas ",
Welcome to the ranch. It seems that you've already been warned here about the Naming Policy. Please read it carefully and change your name accordingly (obviously fake names are not allowed). Thank you.
