Does HFSJ cover everything for a 100% score?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
In the coffee cram questions in HFSJ (1st ed.) there are several questions that were about something that isn't discussed in the main text. E.g.: p.549. q.2 > jsp:invoke. (Also q.7 about dynamic attributes, but that's covered now in the 2nd ed. ). There are more questions like this in other chapters I believe..

In the answers there is a reference to the specs.

Since I don't feel like reading all 1000 pages or so of the specs, my question: are there more topics not mentioned in HFJS that one has to master for the exam?

You can use HFSJ for a good understanding on the exam objectives and it is by far the best book available for such a cause.

Getting 100% lies in your effort inunderstanding and interpreting the exam objectives.

Thats true. No book can vouch for getting 100% score as it has a mutual and equal responsbility from the individual!

But HFSJ may definitely help you achieve

Good luck!!

What I have done is anytime there is a reference to the spec, I read it since the reference was put there for a reason. I also agree that understanding the objectives is a way to achieve a high score. If one can execute all of the objectives, barring a mistake or one of those "where the #@!! did this come from" questions, one should get close to 100%.
and POOF! You're gone! But look, this tiny ad is still here:
