1. TRACE->doTrace(): What is the purpose of this method
2. CONNECT-> noMethod in servlet. What is the use of CONNECT and why we don't have doConnect() method in Servlets.

The doTrace method generates a response containing all instances of the headers sent in the TRACE request to the client, so that they can be used in debugging. And there's no need to override this method.
and about I am not much confident about it what exactly it do, as I never used it anywhere in my devlopment experince.

In regard to CONNECT, the HTTP 1.1 spec has this to say:
This specification reserves the method name CONNECT for use with a proxy that can dynamically switch to being a tunnel (e.g. SSL tunneling).

In other words, CONNECT applies to intermediary steps of the connection, not to an endpoint like a servlet.
