Hi Ranchers,
Iam planning to do a small project using Java, servlers and JSP on my own.. What could be the best web container and server to use for the development and deployment of this J2ee application?

Tomcat 6 and Eclipse IDE would be good for that kind of project.

I built online movie-shopping application by them.It's pretty easy and simple.All you have to is downloading Ecplipse for J2ee and its tomcat plug-ins.

I'm also trying to do a small project, parallel to SCWCD preparation.

My project needs Database interaction also, please suggest me, which DB I can use.

I tried to use Oracle, but its very heavy, my system become slow.
