Hello Ranchers;

I have bit confusion of below statement in bold which is given in HFSJ..

You can do scripting in a tagfile BUT you can't do scripting inside the body of the tag used to invoke the tagfile...

My understanding for above is "In jsp page, whatever tag functionality you do you can also use scripting over there...But the tag file where you define taghandler class in that tag file you are not allowed to do scripting"...

So please correct me if my understanding for tag file is wrong..

Would appreciate if somebody explain this to me using examples...

Thanks & Regards;

Brijesh ...here tagfile means just a jsp renamed as tag, like ex1.jsp ==> ex1.tag thats it nothing more and nothing less.
This is nothing related to the tag handler class files. its like you have a set of functionality and you put it a jsp file naming it as a tag file and you call this tag file where ever you want that functionality.

so the following statement is right..
You can do scripting in a tagfile BUT you can't do scripting inside the body of the tag used to invoke the tagfile...

Hope it makes sense..
