Hi,I am sorry if my question is irrevalant in this particular discussion borad. I am working as a Software Engineer developer in a very reputed IT company. I have 1.7 years of experience in Java/J2ee projects. I am looking for a job switch. I am planning to write SCWCD certification. So I was just wondering that will the certification help me improve my chances of getting a good job ?
Hi padhu Ram welcome to Javaranch , Deepak, since you are working in a reputed IT company then you already know what it means to be certified. I dont think getting a certificate drastically improves one's knowledge but still, clients want that people working on their project should be certified. The companies want their employees to hold a certificate. Certification definitely improves your chances of selection over non certified candidates. Moreover it has a global recognition.
