Hi Friends,

I want to do SCWCD exam. But I can spend only an hour daily. If I spend one hour, how long will it take for me to get ready for the exam? Any suggestions will be helpful for me to put a plan in place to move next.

Thanks
Ganesh

How long is a piece of string?

To give you a rough idea I spent just over 2 weeks studying for my SCWCD, and managed to find around 3 hours a day to study (mostly in leiu of sleep), but I'm a reasonable studier. I got a good pass score, but not exceptional, and had some familiarity with Servlets already (but no JSP, DD etc.)

How much effort you need depends on how good a memory you have, how familiar the topics, how hard you work, what books / guides you have (it's quicker with a good book and an exam simulator), what score you are aiming for.

If you are a steady scholar, and just want to pass, have a reasonable knowledge of Java and web technologies generally then I think you could get away with 6 weeks studying.

If it's all new, and you want to get a really good score (90%+) and thoroughly understand the subject, you'll need to spend comparitively more time at it and should set aside 3-4 months.

HTH - Rufus.
