curl.jsp:

Target jsp : csession.jsp

9)
The above JSP displays three links the last one most importantly does not use response.encodeURL which means from a browser with cookies disabled
clicking on this link will create a new session in the target JSP as the JSessionId is not appended. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.The session was retained and
a new session was not created as shown by the csession.jsp where the session id was same as the one in curl.jsp.
Why did this happen, a new session should have been created by clicking the third link.

10) All the three links in curl.jsp do not have jsessionid appended in a browser with cookies disabled? Is this parameter hidden and not shown when
I hover mouse over the links.

Hi Deepak,

in case 1 ..if you disable cookie then sessionid must append into browser url ..... ${pageContext.session.new}=false

in case 2... there is no sessionid and ${pageContext.session.new}=true

above both case... i Tested

I've tested it too with Tomcat/Firefox. It worked as expected. Which browser are you using ?
