Hi ranchers,

I'm studing to take the certification and by now I'm in the chapter 9(JSTL). On the page 450 of the second edition HFSJ book where the autor is telling that the var attribute of c:forEach tag is using a "Tag" scoped attribute but after in custom tags chapter the examples are using the pageContext api, only tag files are using this tag scope. What about this scope? If it actually exists, where in custom tag handles can I get a object handling objects of this scope?

JSTL =customtags+EL [jstl itself is a custom tag]

Hi,

I dont understood what you mean, actually I wanna know if exists a Tag Scope used to bind attributes for Custom Tags like the "tag scope" existing in the tag files for passing attributes, in other words, an attribute scope that lives only in the tag processing and if exists how I work with...

I don't think there is such a scope. When they talk about "Tag" scoped attribute, they mean that the variable will not be accessible outside the tag. For example, in the JSTL specification about the var attribute of the forEach tag, they say "This scoped variable has nested visibility.".
