hi ,
i am trying to test the authentication process described in the HFSJ ,but i dont get the browser to prompt username and pasword .
i have tried to use all the login-config elements values(BASIC and FORM).
And i also want to know whether we have to include the application name in the url-pattern in the web-resource-collection or is it from WEB-INF

Not necessary . And i suggest you to start from BASIC Authentication. it is simplest method. the details explained in HFSJ well
