Good day
I just realised that they have stopped registration for the beta examination! I just contacted my prometric center here in Nigeria and i intend to write on the 25th June but i dont know if the administrator has registered for me! I would like to use this medium to ask for an extension for people that have a little difficulty to register for the exams! Thanks all

Hi Saheed,

Did you take part in the SCJA survey in March? If so, you should have received a notification from SunBeta today, saying they will create a registration for the Survey participants who are still interested in taking this exam but haven't registered before the public registration closed.

What survey are you talking about? I've taken several surveys, and do not know if I took the one you are speaking of. I would like to take the examination.

Hi Amit,

If you've sent an e-mail to Evelyn by 11 March as stated in that post and received a confirmation from her 1 or 2 days later, you should have received instructions via e-mail around 15 March on how to take the survey. If no response from her, most probably because the quota of participants (40 - 60) has been reached. The participants were required to complete the survey by 18 March. This survey is already over since three months ago. Only those who completed the survey in March are eligible to register for this exam after it was closed to the public.

I would say, we have also need to understand SUN's feeling. SCJP Tiger Beta costs $50 USD but people complain about the costs. So, SUN provides free SCJA beta, however, too many people registered. Hence, SUN decided to close the registration.

If SUN extends the beta registration, the number of candidates might be increased to a level that is out of SUN's expectation.

This is not fair on the part of Sun. Last week I had enquired about it from the prometric center here in New Delhi (India), and they told me I could come and register before 20th June for this exam, but now when I want to register, they refuse to register me saying that 'register is over'. If they had limited seats, then they should have mentioned on the site or with prometric centers. Please let me know if the registration for this exam opens again. I really want to appear for this beta exam.
Thanks,

It is of less chances to re-open the registration, and thus, might be you can keep an eye for the next beta.
