Hi Kmrk

Welcome to JavaRanch and this forum. We don't have many rules around here, but one we do have is the Official policy on registered names. Could you please take the time to read this policy, then change your displayed name to suit? You can change your displayed name here.

You might want to look at the classic Design Patterns by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson, John Vlissides (also known as the Gang of Four (or GoF) book), however it can be difficult to read as it is very dry and uses C++ and/or Smalltalk examples. In my opinion an easier book to read is the Head First Design Patterns by Elisabeth Freeman, Eric Freeman, Bert Bates, Kathy Sierra.

Are you interested in this for the Sun Certified Java Associate exam (which is the forum you have posted in), or for the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect (which is listed in the body of your post)? If you meant this to be in the SCEA forum, please let me know, and I will move this topic over there.

Regards, Andrew
