Hi All,

I gave SCJA exam on 29th Dec '06. I scored 90%
I thank you all guys for your helpful posts regarding preparation of SCJA exam.

The exam was mixed, not very easy and not very difficult. Some of the exam questions were very tricky. I took the whole exam duration to complete the exam. I have just marked 7 questions to review and reviewed them in the last 7-8mins.

Here is the list of reference material I used for the exam preparation:-
1. The complete Reference Java 2 by Schmidt book
2. Head First Java book
3. Whizlabs exam simulator
4. Exam scam Free online Mock exams http://193.192.249.9/ExamScam/get.jsp
5. Sun tutorial for Server Side Technologies
http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/JavaEETutorial.pdf

I have taken out some personal short notes and some notes on Java Platforms, UML, Server technologies. It really helped me lot to understand the concept.
I will definitely share those notes with you all. May be It will help you a bit.

I have purchased the Whizlabs exam Simulator and it was really very helpful.
It really helped me to understand the tricks in the exam.

About exam preparation time: I am a fresher. I worked on Java last year only for 2 months. It took around 2 months to prepare for the exam. My husband is expert in Java and because of him I could grasp the concept very fast.

Don't be nervous during/before exam. If you have prepared well then dont take much tension. Give the exam with cool head, with full concentration and without thinking much about the result. If you get confused with the exam question, write it down. I wrote almost all i.e. 51 question's answer on the rough paper given by test center personal. After looking at the question, I did not look at the answer and tried to think about the answer and then choose the answer. This helped me to eliminate the wrong choices.

I hope this information will be helpful for you. Please feel free to ask me for any help.

I wish you good luck for the exam preparation.

Thanks and regards,
Hemangi Bhavsar
