Greetings,
I was preparing for the SCJA exam for more than two weeks. A was assured by a Prometric center that I would be able to pay for the exam in cash and that it would be about $132 (in our currency of course). Notice that the exam in US costs $100...
When I arrived, it turned out that I need a voucher from Sun
In Poland a voucher for SCJA costs the same as a voucher for SCJP, that is about $281
I affirmed that it is not worth that kind of money. While in Poland people earn 4x less, they have to pay 3x more for the same exam

I wonder if I can buy a voucher in US for $100 and use it to pass the exam in Poland. Does anybody know?

Meantime, I'm preparing for SCWCD 1.4 with HF Servlets&JSP...

Best regards

Dzien dobry, Piotr !

I am fully agree that it's a rip off.
Why are you taking SCJA after SCJP ?
My opinion is that SCJA is not that valuable as SCJP is.
Just skip to SCWCD

Don't get me started on Prometric.

As certification exams go, the SCJA still relatively inexpensive. However, I agree with Mikalai in questioning the benefit of an SCJA certification along with the SCJP and SCWCD. Personally, I would just focus on the SCWCD.

I agree completely.

I know the exams were always $100 US, or $150 Canadian, as a little while ago, $1US was worth about $1.50 Canadian. But now that the Canadian dollar is worth more than the greenback, things should come in line, but they haven't.

It's amazing how far the US dollar has fallen. I heard that all the baseball players in the US are starting to negotiate thier salaries in Mexican Pesos because it's a much more stable currency.
