Hi!
Passed
SCJA exam today with 84% score.
I got the following scores:
UML - 100%
Algorithm Design and Implementation- 100%
Client Technologies - 100%
Fundamental OO Concepts - 87%
Server Technologies - 85%
Java Implementation of OO Concepts - 75%
Java Dev't Fundamentals - 66% (i thought I will ace this section)
Java Platforms and Integration - 60% (this shocked me coz I usually clear all questions in mock exams)
It was really a nice experience, it was not a hard exam but good analysis and a lot of commonsense are required. This is my very first certification title. I am a programmer by profession working with PHP(a bit) and TCL/Tk but have no experience in OOP.
I would like to acknowledge Cameron McKenzie, the Javaranch and to all Javaranchers who unselfishly shared their experiences and tips on passing the exam.
These are my resources:
1)Both Cameron McKenzie's books (SCJA exam guide and model questions)
2)SCJA.de and
www.SCJA.com free mock exams
3)Trial version of whizlabs
McKenzie's books really helped me a lot. Thanks Cameron for being so kind enough to personally attend to the delivery of the books so it can reach its destination on time
to prove his dedication, here's an email from him:
Boy oh boy.
I've been monitoring my publishers hourly for the last two days. This book didn't come off the press until 5pm yesterday. I didn't think there was a chance that it would get in the evening mail, but it did! I was sure it wasn't going to get to UPS until Friday morning, which would have got it out Saturday or Monday.
But the book is in MN as we speak, and will be delivered today. Here's the latest from UPS:

Kind regards!
