Hello Everyone,
I would like to understand the value of taking up JAVA Developers exam. How much importance do employers give to this exam? What do the people who have passed it think of this? Is it only for self accomplishment or does it really add value to your resume ?
I intend to take this up, but would like to hear from others before I start spending my time on it.
your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to all,

Ayman,
I've been developing for 15 years and have interviewed many developers for my teams. I've seen awesome resumes where I'd swear somebody else wrote it for them. IMHO, the SCJP stamp is a filter for a stack of resumes. I just passed the SCJP on the first try and thought it only touched on topics. If I have 30 resumes, I will look for experience and certifications. What you have done wins over some certification stamp. The SCJD certification proves you can at least develop a running program. So the SCJD candidate will get interviewed way before any SCJP does. Does it mean you get more money? No. That depends on what you can do for me, how good and how fast.
