Joey,
I'd help you if I could, but I don't think that I am that stage of my project yet. I have the sense that the problem stems from how you've done your RMI. I'm not there yet. If you're still having the problem in a week or two and nobody has responded, repost, and hopefully I WILL be there, and will be able to provide more insight. If you can post more details about the problem, perhaps I could be of more help. I'm sure there are people out there who would know based on your post. We need to get more people active on this forum. I am reading everything and TRYING to help out in any way, because I know how valuable it is to me when someone else gives their insight. Javaranch is a great place, and I respect what they are doing here. I almost wonder if, as an incentive to those who are more experienced and help out in the various forums, they gave away books like they do for just posting on occassion. Instead of giving out 4 books each time, if they just gave out 3 books and then saved the other for those who post the most help, or they have a drawing amongst all of those who post significant insights, I would think that would increase the incentive for busy experts to stop by from time to time and help out. I realize that there are a LOT of people who do that for free. Incentives never hurt though. Justa suggestion.
With Respect,
Matt

Matt DeLacey,
I think the problem is because of SWings single thread rule.
See this topic http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/threads/threads1.html.
With Respect,
Joey
