Are the helper classes to Data class in suncertify.db needed to be on the RMI Server or they can be on the client. In my understanding, just the data class should be not available to the client locally and the database too. Remaining all the other helper classes can occur both in the server and client. But is it not redundancy. Is it good if i get these helper classes through RMI calls from the server and then there is only one copy of these classes. I am assuming this description is for network mode only.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Swapan.

Hey,
Actually you've just made me rethink things. I was thinking that I WOULD have duplicates on the Server and Client end unless I heard a compelling reason not to (besides redundancy). But now I am thinking about it, I am sure that I successfully ran my Server without the DatabaseException and other support classes. I hadn't thought this through. I need to do more testing. I'm surprised now that it worked, but I guess when you get a Data object from the server via RMI, then it doesn't NEED the helper classes on the server. I guess this makes sense. I need to runa few tests.
With Respect,
Matt
