I'm finished with my project - tested server and client on windows and linux - everything works great - but...
I use a lan connection and port 1099 for my rmi server. I figured I'd test it using http, but I can't get it to work. I put all the class files in the web server root directory and referenced them with http://hostname/root/ for the codebase. I tried using port 1099 and 80 for rmiregistry.
I keep getting NoClassDefFoundExcpetion: access to class loader denied.
Any ideas what is wrong?

I used a client policy file and that worked when invoking the client.
