I am getting an exception when trying to call the remote method getRecordCount() from my client. It works if I return a string instead of an integer and all of the other remote methods return correctly. Is there a problem with returning an integer primitive remotely?

I presume you get the exception on the client side. What specific exception are you getting?

It was a AbstractMethod exception?? I don't remember the exact wording. I have re-written the code differently and now it seems to be working so I guess the problem was somehow caused by my bad code.
