Sorry,
There is one more clarification that I need.
Do we first download the assignment and then begin to gather the kind of material our assignment may require? Is this the better approach?

Thanks a lot Mr. Shanmugam Soundrapandian, for your good advice. I think that would be the better and most wise approach for on to take.
Do you think I should start this immediatetly, without any practical Java developemnet experience?
THANKS ANYWAY,
SUNITA

Hi Sunitha,
Very much like you, i too have just started preparing for the SCJD exam.I am following a book written by
Barry Boone.I found it very good. The reason i am mentioning this
is that, there is a simulation of the actual assignment in the book, with complete description and code.I think you can read through that to get a better picture of the assignment.
The picture i get so far from a few people who hace cleared the exam is that you don't have to be a hard core developer to take up this exam.I am a Java trainer myself and i don't see any reason why i cannot take up this exam. But doing some coding work is definitely necessary.
If you believe in the saying "Two heads are better than one" then
you can email me at javaman@indiainfo.com.We could see this through. It would of great help to me.
regards,
Manjunath B.S
