In a MSWindows Command window, the following command starts my Server (which is packaged in a server.jar file):
java -cp server.jar suncertify.server.ServerApp
I've never had the pleasure of working with Unix. Can anyone tell me if the command to run the same program on Linux or a Sun box would look any different?

No the command line to start java should be exactly the same provided the environment is set up correctly.

Hi, Aleksey,
Did you use RMI? If so, how did you encapsulate "start rmiregistry" into your one line command for launching the RMI server?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
