How creative can we get?

Could anyone could offer any insight into how strictly Sun expects us to adhere to the Developer project specs? I'm currently working on the criteriaFind() method and would like to implement the GUI portion using dynamically populated ChoiceBoxes for the field names. My search string would be slightly different from the sample given in the specs. For example: "n1='SpeedyAir',n2='SFO'" where n1 and n2 would be the index values from the ChoiceBoxes rather than field names. My reason for doing so would be to enable a user to search on any field without worrying about proper field names. Any opinions welcome.

I think adding creative features is ok but adheering to strict specs from SUN is more important. I would not change the way criteriaFind method works but rather create a lookup for field names.

I believe that the assignment allows you to be as creative as you decide to, but always sticking to the rules...
In particular, I understand your idea of using indexes for the criteriaFind string argument, but I ceratinly think that it is a NO NO and should be avoided.
Just my humble opinion...

Another question
Has anyone who passed changed the FieldInfo class. I was planning on adding a position field to that so you can use it better with CriteriaFind Method
Any thoughts on that?
