Hi,
I just have a question about the Dev exam.
As the spec says that we could use sockets or rmi.
I intend to use RMI . As activation in RMI is new in java 2.
I have some problems running the example of jdk examples.
Has anyone used Activation in their assignment ?
Please some advice on this topic.
Thanks in advance.
Pramila

I didn't use activation, as I think I assumed that was if you had a web server. Since I don't, I have no activation, and don't need any.
When I run the server, I have a batch program that starts RMI registry, and then runs the java command to run the server.
You can also start the RMI Registry up in code using a method like getRegistry(), something like that, You can find the exact method in the javax.rmi.registry package api documentation, or do a search in this newsgroup for posts from other people.
Hope that helps
Mark
