Does anybody know if we are allowed to use 3rd party code that essentially creates a LockManager for us? Some guy named Douglas Lea or something has the ReadWriteLock pattern coded and I wanted to incorporate his code into my design rather than create my own LockManager...is that OK by Sun?

I would assume that this is not allowed as the test is designed to see our design ability. While choosing a third party solution is certainly a valid business decision I think it would stretch the goals of the certification.

What do you have to say for yourself? Hmmm? Anything? And you call yourself a tiny ad.
