UnknownHost Exception

Hi all
Please help me i am really struck when i try to start my RMIServer using 127.0.0.1 or localhost i get a UnknownHost exception what should I do. I have windows 95 operating system.
The URL i am using is "localhost/FlightServices" to do the rebind and it is failing when i am doing the rebind

Can i not allow the user to enter the host name and make him enter only the port no , so that i can use getLocalHost() method in the code instead of user entering the hostName

What I found is that is you're on a network, "localhost" is not recognized and you have to use your machine's name assigned by network admin. However, it's not an issue when I run it from home - "localhost" is working. Perhaps this is smth do be mentioned in your README file.

Hi thanks for your reply,
My problem is when i use windows 95 or windows 98 in home the
localhost is not availble as there is no webserver running and i dont have a ipadress for my machine.
What operating system are you using and how are you coping with this problem

I've only tested on WinNT4.0 and Win2000 so far. I'll try to test on Win95/98 and see what happens...
