Dear Friends,
I have got around one and half year experience in JSP/Servlets/JavaBeans developing some ecommerce sites.
Also has cleared my JCP. Should i write Developer exam or Web Component Developer Exam. Can anyone suggest
In Developer exam SCJD can we use IDE for Devolopment Assignement in SWings etc in this exam. If so whcih are all the best ones.

I'd first do the Web Developer. With your experience, I think you will find it a piece of cake, and shouldn't take you that long, then you can go for the Developer.
I myself haven't taken the Web Developer, but that is next on my list.

I agree with Mark. I took Web Component Developer first and I'm glad to have that out of the way before starting on this project. It is definitely the easier of the two if you have some real-world servlet and JSP experience. There is nothing in the Developer cert assignment that will help prepare you for Web Component Developer so you're not gaining any valuable experience for Web Developer by doing Developer first.

Oh, and as far as IDE use, the instructions say you can use one but the final program cannot have any dependencies on it. My favorite is IBM VAJ.

I used vaj. It was helpful for the reading the javadoc and the rmic. I did not use the gui composer, since it is better to write the gui code yourself. (I got to work on a project where the that feature was heavily used. It was a challenge.)
I was concerned that the ide made the code indentation hard to read.
