Multi-threaded GUI?

Hi all,

Just near the end of my assignment for FBNS and I was curious as to how essential it is to have a multi-threaded gui so that it does not freeze up on any long request from the client to the server. I know a couple of people who have done this, but I am looking just to finish this assignment as it has been going on for ages.
Is this a necessary requirement (it doesn't mention it in the spec) or can you pass without this feature??
Any comments are most welcome,
Cheers,

Stuart

I did not have any multi-threading in the GUI, it isn't a requirement.
I just have the client wait as long as necessary to run whatever procedure it is waiting for.
I also have only one screen. But that doesn't matter.
