Hi all,
I downloaded the assignement today and got Fly by night (maybe it’s just one, but… and I’m really puzzled with the file db.db.
It just contains these fields: Flight number|Origin airport|Destination airport|Carrier|Price|Day|Time|Duration|Available seats.
It’s no date in there. Can you just book once in the history of the company?
How if I wanna book a flight Sunday 01/13/01 and another one the following Sunday 01/20/01?
Any ideas?

You book your ticket and fly whenever you want.
Seriously though, Do not take this assignment as a real world implementation, it is not. It is a learning experience designed to see how well you can develop a small, imperfect, client-server application. Do not worry about details like that just be able to book a seat and fulfill the requirements of the project.
Keep it simple and and follow instructions to the tee and you will do well
Good Luck
Trevor

Thank you Trevor,
My problem is just that. I did expect something real. In the instructions it is said: “The Information Systems Department Manager now wishes to extend this work into a usable application”
But to whom? No one would ever be able to put this application into a production environment, not for technical reasons, but for functional ones.
I think that would have been more fun. But who cares… Just let’s do it!
