Hello guys, I'm new on this forum. I'd like to know how much time it takes to code and document the assignement if working full day on it. My manager gave me only two weeks to do it and I beginning to think that it is not enough. Any clue ? Pam
Hi, Speaking as someone currently working on the assignment, I would imagine that the majority of the coding and documentation could be completed within that timescale if you are already familiar/proficient with the various areas covered RMI, Swing, Patterns etc. Personally, I'm using the whole assignment as a chance to learn things that I don't usually use at work (I normally work with J2EE/XML). I've been working on it for a couple of weeks and expect to finish the assignment in a month or two. I'm glad I don't have a manager breathing down my neck!!! Cheers, Steve

So would I. He is only giving you two weeks at a full day during work. Well, take the full two weeks, and if you don't finish, then work on it at home after the two weeks. And then you can take your time. I think 80 hours - 120 hours is all I put into the assignment, but I only got an hour or two a couple of nights a week to work on it. and I finished in 3 months. Mark
