Well it depends. You have to answer those questions. You might want to put some general insights into how you developed the system, what were some of the standards you made for yourself, and some kind of text on your architecture. But I think that covers pretty much everything.
Mine was 5 pages long, but I get very wordy sometimes.

Did anyone attempt to include diagrams -perhaps uml -in their design documents if so what kind of editor did you use.
Also i have a problem trying to lift GUI images from screen and placing them in a design document.
I am using Windows2000 perhaps someone could let me know where i could get info on this procedure.
Thanking everyone on this site for their wonderful insights into java technology.

Hi Tom,
I’m using Windows2000 as well and this is way I do it :
1.launch the application
2.press ALT+Print screen
3.open PaintShopPro or Word, select Paste into new image
4.save the image as a gif
5.Because I use Word for writing my html document, I choose insert Picture from file
Hope that helps!

Thanks for helpful suggestions.
Used Enrico's suggestion with success.
Looking into the Poseidon site, as by Andre it looks interesting. I used "System Architect" some time back and i presume working with the tool provided will be similar. I only intend in using 1 or 2 diagrams and do not want to spend too much time mastering the finer points of it

You guys should see the great UML that I included in my design.txt file.

Pretty tough to do with text.

I wonder what this looks like posted. I will check and remove it if it looks bad.
Nope it looked really bad, and didn't keep my spacing, so I removed it.
DOH!, Why don't I put it in a CODE tag, and then the spacing will remain.

continued

Well it didn't come out completely the way I had it, but it is close.
