Policy file, grant all?

Could someone please tell me whether a policy file containing only:
grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
};
is acceptable for a "production environment" (as mentioned in the instructions)?

what is the use of policy file. can u pls explain it to me. my application works fine with any policy tool . why do we need it?

It's just a simple way of making premissions for particular things to the SecurityManager. It is like a properties file. It will translate the entries into Permission objects.
I think there is a Security API tutorial at www.javasoft.com that probably could explain it better.
