i'm not good at gui and i just found a small unwanted problem with my gui. i used a couple JOptionPane/JDialogs to display success/error messages.
when the user does everything right, the message boxes show up correctly. but when some exceptions happen (like i shut down server), then the message boxes always have a "Java Applet Window" status-bar-like line at the bottom of them(not wanted), and then the message boxes become resizable(not wanted). even after i reset server correctly or use local db, the status bar is still there unless i restart everything(registry/server/client).
any ideas? thanks a lot!
