Hi all !
Well i'm a little confused and need your help.
I'm a SCJ2P. I've developed a web-based app using servlets, jsps, beans. Apart from this i've done some work on Swing, JDBC.
So to cut it short ive got a lil coding experience. So should i go for the developers exam or for the architects exam.
Regards
Danish

I think you should go for Architect's exam. I have similar experience as you but I made the mistake of registering myself for Developer exam. Now I feel I am giving time to what I already know. Nayela

Hi
I was confused like you a couple of days back but I decided that should take one step at a time so I have registered for Developer . I feel that I have taken the right decision. . I am giving myself 6 - 8 months before I get the developer certification. I can then target the Architect certification.
Thanks

Danish. The order you take the certifications, except for the first one doesn't really matter. If you want another one quickly, I would suggest the SCWCD since you know Servlets and JSPs. Then I beleive the Developer exam is good, even if you have used some of the elements in you coding. I think you will find somethings that you will learn that you didn't know you didn't know
Then go for the Architect, The Architect is not for coders, or should I say it has no coding in it at all. You need to know desing theory, design Patterns, and UML. It is a large learning curve there, that can be better handled after doing SCWCD and Developer.
My 2 cents
Mark
