Hi,
I just cleared Programmers certification and i want to shoot for Developers. I am looking for some basic input like the books to read, road path to success, how many months of prep is optimal etc.
Would somebody help me?
Thanks

No prep needed. You can start right now. If you want a book to read try Java Certification by Roberts, Heller, and Ernest.
Otherwise post here a lot to get questions answered. Start to learn Swing and RMI, as you go.

Actually i am a GUI Expert. I have lots of experience in GUI developement using JFC/Swing. I guess the rest remaining are RMI/Sockets and Design skills.
I do have RHE. Are there any other links that i can get more information about the books?
Thanks

Based on your experience, I'd say just look at some of the tutorials at suns site on RMI, and you should have no problem with the assignment. No other books needed. Just that and Javaranch
