Thanks in advance. And thanks guys who give me some sample questions to get an idea what the essay test like.
I have problems when understanding the exact meaning of some kind of essay questions (English isnot my first language anyway.) Like:
Q1: Explain your lock/unlock methods.
--Does this Q have any difference from "..... lock/unlock mechanism." ? I think if the word is "mechanism" here, I should write more to explain. Is it right?
Q2: Explain how Swing application handles local and remote mode?
--I am not sure whether the question with spelling error. Is it asking me which kind of Swing components and layout I used in my GUI to allow user to select the mode?
Q3: Do you think your application is implement as per(?) of MVC design pattern?
--It is a strange Q. We are required to use Swing for the GUI of FNS. And many of the Swing components are actually built using MVC. Is it asking me to write sth about JTable and the class I wrote which extends AbstractTableModel?
Q3: Explain why your application will perform well?
--Oh! What an anser it expect here? I tested it, and considering readability, maintenability, reusablity when design..
Thanks a lot.

Q1: Explain your lock/unlock methods.
This means explain how your lock and unlock work. You should know what a method is... basically teh same thing as a function if you have heard that term.
Q2: Explain how Swing application handles local and remote mode?
The are basically asking how your local / networked modes work. How is it selected, how does it work.

Q3: Do you think your application is implement as per(?) of MVC design pattern?
They want to know how you designed your software. Mine uses mvc. Sun is not testing themselves, they are testing what you submitted. Don't answer any questions with answers about their code.
Hope that helps a bit
