Has any one used business objects in the design like ScheduledFlight,FlightDescription,Airport, etc. Since I will not be able to send these objects to the server via RMI due to spec constraints, does any one see any value in converting the DataInfo[] to appropriate business objects at the client and then convert the business objects to GUI representation? Thanks.

Keep to the specs, any extra and unecessary aspects will lower your mark. Business objects are usually session or entity beans, J2EE is not covered by this assignment. Keep it simple

Just add *stupid* at the end. Thanks a lot.
