hi, every body:
I am testing my assignment and meeting a problem:
i tested the progrect in the LAN and it worked fine.
But i want to try it in the real internet environment, so i place the server.jar on my friend's web site and try to make connection to it in my home. But it always fail..

Did you guys try to test your assignment in the real internet or just LAN? I need to do this?
Thanks!

hi there,
well i have not tested my code on an internet scenario and i dont think many of us here do that.
But i did a real rigrous testing of my jar on the intranet with server and clinet on different OS.
But as per the theoritical knowledge the way you are testing should work.
cos RMI makes three types of connections if it fails.
See to it if you are doing everything fine

No Need to test on internet, this isn't an internet assignment.
