For my GUI I didn't worry about custom sizing of columns, although I did implement various listeners to only accept numerics and activate buttons where appropriate. I was surprised at my doco score as I did less than 2 pages worth of write up on my design choices.
All up the project took me ~60 hours of solid work, and it was almost all enjoyable.
Thanks Peter and Mark for your excellent posts that proved invaluable for my project.
Steve.
