What are some recent time intervals?
How long between the time one takes the essay and one learns of their score?

I uploaded and took my essay exam on June 12, 2002. The assesor recived my assignment June 19 and I recieved my results on June 29, 2002.

Looks like it took 17 days for you to get your results. I am on day 20 and I have not heard anything. How do you determine the "day the assessor" receives your assignment? I regularly
log on to CertManager, Test History and / or Cert Progress. I see my Java Programmer certification, I do not see any entries for my pending developer certification. I emailed [email protected] this morning regarding my questions. Comments welcome regarding how I can obtain additional information regarding my pending developer certification.

Thanks for asking those questions! I took the exam last Saturday and have yet to see any sort of feedback on email or Cert Manager that either the assignment or the essay test was received.

I e-mailied Sun at [email protected] . Took me three times uploading till they recieved it. So i just wrote them and asked on the status about a week after i sent it. They seemed to reply to my e-mails in about 24 hours usually. Besides that just keep checking the certmanager site. Your results will be displayed on the test history page under your SCJP results.
Good luck, I know how bad it is waiting and checking everyday.

I don't think Sun will look at anything until it has both the assignment and the essay test.

I submitted my assignment July 26. I'm still waiting! That's about 27 days. Maybe sun is backed up.

For what it's worth, I submitted on the 12th July, took the essay exam on the same day, and got the results on the 11th August.

SCJP1.4, SCJD, SCEA (in progress)

Usually, it needs about 1 month time.

I submitted it and took the essay on 30 Dec 2003, and I received my result on 26 jan 2004.

As Robin suggested, your assignment will be ignored until you have completed your essay exam. So do the exam as soon as you can after you submit your assignment.
