I would appreciate comments on my simplistic
package design. (this is external to source tree)
- Two jar files in two
client & server directories;
|-INSTRUCTIONS.txt ... Instructions, unjar the file server.jar, read README
|-server.jar (this contains all of the following)
CreateDB.class...... Create DB utility (not part of suncertify.jar)
README ........ README on how to run the application.
Server.class ........ Main server class.
|-suncertify.jar ... The jarfile containing all the classes
I did not split then into client/server.
run-server.bat ... Batch file to run the server.
run-utility.bat ... Batch file to run the CreateDB utility .
support-files/ ... Files necessarty to run the app.
|-asciidata.file ... Raw data file
|-database ... Binary database.
|-help.html ... online help (rendered via the client gui)
|-java.policy ... Security permission ( all granted)
|-metadata.file ... information regarding the meta-data (used by CreatDB).
|- INSTRUCTIONS.txt ... same as server
|- client.jar (this contains all of the following)

Client.class ... (main client class, not part of suncertify.jar)
README ... (Read me instructions)

|-suncertify.jar .. "The" jar file.
run-client.bat ... The batchfile to execute the client.
|-java.policy ... (usual)

thanks and regards
