Hello All,
I am so excited that a friend of mine told me about this site. I am a SCJP2 and I am now going to go on to the SCJD. I hope I am ready. My background is as a C++ programmer, however I have had some experience with using Java on the client side for the GUI. I figure the best way to learn the Language is to use it. I am looking forward to learning some different aspects of the language. I am sure this site will be a valuable resource with my persuit of this next level of certification.

Thanks
Joe

Welcome Joe,
You certainly came to the right place if you want to pass the Developer's cert. Without JavaRanch I scored 86% on the Programmer's test; with JavaRanch I scored 154/155 on the Developer's. There is lots of Java experience here and everyone is more than willing to share it. Good luck on what was a very fulfilling and learning experience for me.

Just read a few hundred posts here, and you are guaranteed 155/155
