Failed In SJDC, Have no Idea what was wrong

Hi Guys,
Well that's true but I can't believe it. I don't know what went wrong in my assignment, I tested everything in different OS(windows xp, 2000) and Linux (that's all I have) in both mode, and It worked fine. I followed all the rules from Sun instruction and the comments from you guys (I appreciate again your help). I even create a test application and run 50 clients at the same time, I really don't know what was wrong and can't get anything from Sun after several emails I sent.
Guys, I learned a lot from this assignment and your comments so far but It's not fair after spending 4-5 month my time after work, working on this assignment they just saying you failed and no comment!!!?

Hello Sam,
I don't know if this helps but by the fact that you scored 0 means you broke 1 of the requirements in the assignment. It could mean that you used too many command line parameters etc. Another gotya is not including the readme file in the right place.
This is obviously gutting but it should mean that a small change is enough for you to pass. Try and work through the requirements and cross check them against your submission.

Hi Sam,
Man that's really a bummer. This is just speculation since I don't know for sure, but since there was no evaluation at all (your score was 0) it may be due to one of the automatic failures mentioned in the instructions. Go back and look closely at those and see if there may be something there.

and the result you got so soon all sugest tht .. plz take a fresh look at your submission and re submit it may be we all can help you look at the what you have submited and what you have placed where .. you might have missed somethin that we can pick up .. if its ok by javaranch you can post some of the top level things which says what you submited and where it went in the jar for us to have an idea and to sugest you things ..

One thing that may have disqualified you with a 0 score is that your README.txt was not in the root of the submitted JAR. Was it? It could also be that you didn't explain how to run your client in local mode, without the server. Did you? Yet another thing is that your JAR got corrupted during the upload, and some automatic script at Sun could not extract it. The good news is that the score is 0, -- that means you failed on a technicality or a simple mistake, -- presumably easy to fix and resubmit, maybe even for no additional charge.

hi,
i waited for some one who has already gone through it all to respond .. but .. i dun see anything wrong there .. apart from the fact that you have the db file which is going to appear twice as a separate file and as well as in the original jar

what mode of network enabling did use ?? anything in the architecture ?? did you miss anything ?? are you sure that what ever you have mentioned here is there in the jar ?? sometimes we just take them for granted and we end up with a older buggy version and it spoils the ... did you jar and un jar and run the application in a new machine are at least try to simulate that kind of test in the development machine ??
many small things could make a huge difference ...
and i agree with ppl .. we spend so much all we get is this which says nothing
why cant they give some descriptive feed back just like we get in all other sylvan prometric exams .. so that we have an idea of where we could have improved and improve ourselves there

I am going to dig more see if I can find anything , I have sent three email to Sun and asked them what was wrong with my assignment but I didn't get anything from them so far.

Sam, keep pestering them. Sometimes the upload doesn't exactly complete, and the file they get can't be unjarred or something like that.
You ahve to perster them till they tell you exactly why. If it is the case of a bad upload file, they will let you re-upload it. I have seem it before.
But don't let them get off the hook of not giving you an exact explaination.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I agree with Mark that you should ask them to reconsider your exam. At worst, you're a little pushy. At best, you're a SCJD.

Finally got comment and this is rediculus,
Comment: Your source code seems to be incomplete. Your api pages and code comments indicate that there is a LockManager class, but there is no LockManager.java file in your source jar.
They said I don't have LockManager.java but I have this class inside of another file called ServerController.java, I am gonna send an email and let them know, see how it goes...

may we should mention in the read me.txt what is the size of each and every jar we have uploaded and as well as mail those guys mentioning what they will receive and the size of the file and the content it holds ..
so that in case the upload did go wrong .. we can do something abut it
