a. Is someone using suncertifydb.properties to store some configuration information in JDK 1.4 beta. If so, please let me know what info are you guys using to store in this property file.
b. Can someone give me ideas on how they are implementing locking and unlocking.

My suncertify.properties file stores the server address and port, the working mode as well as the dimensions of the client window on the screen.

Valentin, did you provide a GUI to edit this properties file? Are you compelling fillup of the properties at startup of server or client?

I have provided a sort of Settings dialog where the user can choose the working mode and if she chooses the networked mode, then she has to provide the server address and port.
Only the client has the opportunity of editing some properties.
